Cheating Spouse Investigations in Queensland

Cheating Spouse Investigations in Queensland

Nobody plans to need an investigator. The hardest part of suspecting a partner is the not knowing. It corrodes everything. We work with people across Queensland who need the truth settled one way or the other, and we handle it with complete discretion and no judgement. We have been doing this since 2002 and we are not easily surprised by anything you tell us.

Queensland is a state of more than five million people built on mining, tourism, agriculture, construction and resources logistics. Call 1300 773 293 at any hour, or read on for how we handle cheating spouse investigations here.

Common situations we see in Queensland

  • Their routine has changed but the reasons keep shifting
  • You need clarity before starting a family law process
  • You are being told you are imagining it and you no longer trust your own judgement
  • There is a new name that keeps appearing and being explained away
  • Your partner has become defensive about ordinary questions
  • Somebody at their workplace has started being mentioned constantly

Working in Queensland

Covering Queensland means working from the South East corner north through the Wide Bay, Central Queensland and the Far North. Distance is the main constraint, so we plan around it: we confirm the ground before an operative is committed, and we tell you when travel time is going to make a job uneconomic rather than billing you for a day in a car.

We work regularly across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Cairns and Toowoomba, and we travel further into Queensland where a matter calls for it.

How the work is actually done in Queensland

  1. We talk it through first, in confidence, and work out whether an investigation is even the right step
  2. We agree exactly what would answer your question, so we are not running up hours aimlessly
  3. Surveillance is conducted on the days and times most likely to produce an answer
  4. We stop and review with you after each session rather than committing you to a block
  5. Everything observed is logged with times and locations and supported by imagery where possible
  6. We handle imagery carefully and store nothing longer than we need to

The cost of cheating spouse investigations in Queensland

Here is how the billing works, without the vagueness. Work of this kind is charged hourly with a minimum engagement, and we are upfront about it because the last thing you need is an open ended bill. In many cases a single well chosen window across Queensland answers the question. We would rather tell you that than sell you a week of surveillance you do not need. We will also tell you when we think you are about to spend money for very little return.

Cheating Spouse Investigations and the law in Queensland

The legal boundaries matter, and a good investigator will raise them before you do. We only use lawful methods. That matters more here than anywhere else. In Queensland, the Invasion of Privacy Act 1971 (Qld) controls listening devices, cameras and tracking devices, and using them on a partner without authority can be a criminal offence as well as destroying the value of anything you gather. We will not place a tracker on a car you do not own, we will not record a private conversation we are not party to, and we will not access somebody else’s phone or email accounts. Getting this wrong does not just cost you the evidence. It can expose you personally, which is the opposite of why you called.

This is general information rather than legal advice. If your matter is already before a court, speak to your solicitor about what evidence will assist and we will work to that brief.

About our agency

Before you hand over anything sensitive, here is who we are. Sydney Private Investigations has been operating since 2002 and trades as GORA Investigations Pty Ltd, ABN 34 600 932 438. We hold NSW Master Licence 412080174 and VIC Master Licence Z6583160S. Work in Queensland is conducted in accordance with the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld), administered by the Office of Fair Trading, and where a locally licensed operative is required we engage one rather than cutting a corner.

You will deal with the same people from the first call to the final report. Nothing gets handed to a stranger halfway through.

Frequently asked questions

Will my partner find out I hired an investigator?

Not from us. Our operatives are unmarked and our reporting goes only to you, by whatever method you tell us is safe.

Can you put a tracker on their car?

Only where it is lawful, which generally means a vehicle you own. The Invasion of Privacy Act 1971 (Qld) restricts tracking devices and we will not breach it, both because it is illegal and because it would poison your evidence.

Can you get into their phone or messages?

No. Accessing another person’s device or accounts without authority is a criminal offence. Any investigator who offers to do it is telling you they are willing to break the law on your behalf.

How discreet is the first phone call?

Completely. Call 1300 773 293 at any hour. We can arrange contact times and a reporting method that works for your situation.

How long does an investigation usually take?

Many matters in Queensland are resolved within one to three surveillance sessions. We review with you after each one rather than committing you to a long block.
